January 2021 Update
With a new Lockdown in force for January 2021, I am not travelling by train anywhere at the moment to make videos.
December 2020 Update
In March the UK Government advised against all non-essential railway travel. I followed their advice and made several videos from home. Later, I cycled or drove to stations rather than taking the train.
After the lifting of government restrictions in July I started travelling again to make videos on the transport network, albeit in a slightly new way (see below) to adapt to the world we are all now living in.
During England's second lockdown in November all the videos I uploaded were filmed beforehand with the exception of one film which was made at the specific invite of Network Rail, and I drove to that location rather than take the train.

What has the government said about travelling by train?
In March the UK Government advised against all non-essential railway travel. I am following their advice and making several videos from home. Later I have started cycling or driving to stations rather than taking the train.
On the 17th July 2020 UK government confirmed that anyone can travel again, and this is no longer restricted to essential journeys.
I have therefore started travelling again to make videos on the transport network, albeit in a slightly new way to adapt to the world we are all now living in.
I'm following all Government guidelines:
I have also seen first hand the extensive lengths to which railway companies are keeping the trains and stations clean making me feel like travelling is safer right now than many other places!
Here's a video showing how Thameslink clean their stations and trains
So I am now travelling safely where possible, as it is my job to travel and make videos for a living.
I hope that this puts your mind at ease, and hopefully makes you want to travel yourself. If you do, then just follow the guidance, stay safe and healthy, and enjoy the railways!
